i just did mine after reading about Gerg doing his... i just rubbed the painted section back with 320 grit wet n dry, then did the shiny bits with 600 then 1200 w&d... then washed them down... wax and grease remover.. mask off all the bits i want unpainted, etch primer x 3 coats, top coat x 3 coats, and clear x 2 coats.. clear coat not necesary if not doing metallic colour. then get some alushine, autosol or some other metal polish and go crazy on the alloy bits you want shiny. i will post some pics of mine tomorrow.. they came up alright for a few hours work! |

what would you do? ![]() cheers leighton I have the big lathe set up with a Mini drive flange at work- I would just face a few thou off to get rid of the gutter rash, also the same off that flat face with the wheelweight marks, if those don't polish out.. |

They'll come up brilliant mate. Check out the pics of my 'Tasman' wheels (almost the same wheel except Tasman's are a poorer quality casing i.e. porous!) that I had on my car at this year's mini muster ![]() |
