I'm currently running a bottle of radiator cleaner through my cooling system to get rid of the gunk of the past 12 months and to have a little extra cooling capacity up my sleeve just in case

So what is everyone doing to prepare their mini's for summer?

You should put a thermostat in Lillee, Chong

Incidently, I had to put in a 82°C themo a couple of months ago because I had to run with the choke on with a 77°C one!

I'm on my second consecutive course of boot camp - two nights per week and have looked at changing my diet for healthier foods.

As far as the mini is concerned, my options are sell it; don't drive it, or minimum put a set of seat covers on to cover the black vinyl!

After being laid up for 10 months I just changed oil and filter, drained the Nulon coolant and put new stuff in.
Just got back from a run to PITS in the heat, it never went past the N mark. 8)

That's not too bad. Generally mine will run as hot as 75°C on the move during hot weather (68°C on cool nights and about 71°C normally) and sit on a max of 85°C in traffic just sitting at traffic lights.

I wouldn't be too concerned with yours yet, but it also does depend on what temperature thermostat that you have in it. I run an 82°C one, any colder and I have to run it with the choke on 8)

<edit> I was WAYYYYY to slow

Ill be replacing my temp guage - the one I have is wrong... what was it Kev - reading too high or too low. I cant bloody remember...

Also adding mist spray for intercooler and radiator and possibly running 50/50 water/methanol injection if the man doesnt talk me out of it and tell me its a silly idea.
:D
