Hi, I've decided that I'd like to put a heater in my 68 Deluxe. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what sort of heater should be in their and the best place to get one from. Thanks Dave |

Hi Dave, I'm about to do the same in my 68 dlx.. I think the best option is the all-in-one rover mini heater.. as the heater control is attached to the heater.. if you fit a clubman heater, you need to fabricate a mount for the heater controls. the only other option is the under bonnet heater which takes up A LOT of room under there! This is what I have, and is far from ideal! you also need to run a choke type cable to operate the vent. depending on where you are located, talk to Steve at brickworx (SA), or Lindsay at minisplus (Vic), or Josh at miniimports (Vic), or I guess mini king (NSW)... I know Lindsay has clubman heaters for ~$40.. and I know he has Rover heaters but unsure of the price. Tim. |

Thanks Tim, My 68 is stock so I wanted to go the "original" option. Sounds like the original one is the one that fits in the engine bay. Cheers Dave |

Cooper S Mk1 or Mk11 heater will fit, you just need to make up two brackets to hang it on the firewall. Daniel |

The Minimatic under bonnet one was optional at the time on Deluxe and Mini K. Note it demists the RH screen vent only, using the metal duct and flap assembly that is welded in there already. They work, the main problem is no airflow when car is stationary. ![]() |
