| Post subject: | Auxiliary fan not working |
OK my auxiliary fan decided not to turn at all. Tested the fan it works perfect. Some how I don't know if there is a lose wire somewhere or the thermostat is playing up. The temperture gauge gets close to the red line because of it. Anyone got any idea? |

With a hammer! I unplugged the plug that connects the fan to the wire. Plug the fan into a power source and it turn. Checked all fuse nothing blown. I believe the fan will turn on when it gets over certain temperture. The thermostat housing has a wire that connect to somewhere to the front of the car and I am not sure where the wire goes next. I do have another wire connect to my bottom radiator hose also. |

When mine stopped working it was the plug in the fan. Got dirt and stuff in there since it's exposed in the wheel arch. Test the other end of the plug. If there's voltage, clean the terninals and plug it back in, If there's no voltage it could be the sensor. Test that by connecting the two wires on the sensor together to see if the fan starts. |
