Another question for you all. the mini left today to get new metal put in...floors etc when it returns ill be fitting the brake pipe front to rear, power cable and fule line and then ive decided to make up new covers out of alloy from my local alloy shop to cover these items...just for some extra bling. ive forgoten what size of fule hose to use. im running a 1293cc engine. webber ..electric fule pump etc i realy wanted to use braided fule hose but if i did this i wouldnt want to cover it ..but not sure if this is legal?? i no longer haver the clips that hold these items under the floor iether as all the other panels have been replaced..so i was going to use these clips. ![]() .they come in differet sizes so i should be able to get ones to hold the brake line ,fule line and power cable. let me know of your thourghts... |

First thought: you spelt fuel wrong about half a dozen times. Secondly: 5/16" bundy tube should be more than adequite for your application. ![]() |

I bought some rubber hose the other day & was advised (by a reputable mini man) against using rubber hose due problem with reaction to fuel. So I am sticking with the original fuel line. |

I used 5/16" (OD) steel fuel line, was sold by the metre off the roll at Robbos Spares. Original was only 1/4" OD. ![]() re the hose, I only use Gates or Dayco fuel hose with an SAE number, Made in USA. It stays soft, even with the paint thinners we now call fuel... ![]() |

Don't worry about his spelling Harley, you spelt adequate incorrectly. |

I recently redid my fuel line using 5/16 bundy steel line (2 meters) and that style of clip. works fine and is nice and neat, I was very happy with it ![]() |
