Righthand side of 2nd image gives you a view of the fuel hose going onto the metal pipe.

Howdy, if any owners of a mid 90's engined car have five minutes, I'd like a photo of where the fuel hose connects to the bent tube attached to the throttle body. I'm just checking the connection type. Thanks. Note: late 90s (97 onwards) were different to what I'm after. |

Can't post a pic right now, but the fuel line that I think you are talking about just pushes onto the tube and is secured by a spring type hose clamp from factory. Steve from Brickworx might be able to post a pic... 08 8374 1299 |

That's all I thought it was. The later years had a high pressure hose pressed onto the end, and I'm wondering why it was changed. |

Thanks Maxi, but it's the other end of those fuel tubes I want to see, not the end with the nuts that goes into the throttle body. Whilst I'm at it, does that air filter have takeoff points for the air sensors?

Red hose gets blocked off and cable tied out of the way. It isnt used at all anymore. The green sensor from the old housing has been removed and plugged back into the base of the new air filter base. There is just a hole in the base of the filter housing, the sensor just screws/pushes up into it and stays there. My fuel consumption has gone up, but so has the power output....and the noise
I will upload more photos of fuel hosing/piping shortly. |

because its much easier to remove down there. with the MPi you have to remove the complete fuel hoses from the fuel lines half way down the firewal, you can not seperate them half the way to the injectors. you just pull up a small ring to remove and don't fight with the spring clip the higher fuel pressure is not a reason, the connections at the fuel pump are the same. no matter if SPi or MPi |
