I tried to buy some Rust Bullet here in Sydney last year. The importer is in NZ, they have someone here who resells it. After the latter ignored several of my emails I gave up, bought POR15 instead. There is also an Australian made one now, called Xtroll or something, they reckon it's as good or better. |

Thats the one Kev, it really is the bees knees, im using it at the moment with my mini build and its tops! and it acts with the rust, sorta turning it into not quiet rust, very close to metal... Rust Conqurer is the stuff to get... there are a few Zinc based paints (similar to POR15 marine i think? the silver stuff...) and its a good anti-prevantative. There used to be a distibuter in Sydney (in Pendle Hill) but they closed down a few months ago (thats when i got mine... they were basically throwing it out!) After some poking around a bloke on the Moke forum found a guy around newcastle that also distributes it, if ya want his number ill pass it on to you. back to topic... lol never heard of Rust Bullet... damn yanks... lol oh and XTroll is all Australian made and owned ![]() |

I have never been impressed with POR15. It is a lot of marketing hype for a very simple product. It is bloody expensive for what it is. If you want to see pure BS did back through some old car mags from when POR15 hit the market, it was advertised as Paint Over Rust 15. You didn't need to clean up or wire brush the parts, you just painted straight over the rust. The company got a real bad reputation for a while as they would blame the customer when the paint fell off! So they added the Marine Clean and the Metal Ready steps to the procedure. But they will still blame the customer if there is a problem. ![]() |

They still tout the paint as going straight over rust. They state that the paint is best put on over rough or corroded metal, but then carry on about the other metal preps that must be applied... I love the glossy black finish, but I hope it remains stuck to the metal ![]() |

Very confusing website! Andrew |
