Nope, the Morris 1100 (1098) auto got the 295 head, the humble MiniMatic 998 got a stock 998 one. 12A1456.
Yes all the autos got an HS4 carb (even the 848 auto in UK).
The C/R of the 998 MiniMatic was 9.0:1, achieved by using pistons with less dish in em.
Clive Trickey says the combination of the HS4 carby and 9.0:1 C/R was worth about 4HP. This offset some of the power loss through the autobox.
<edit> in 1970 there was no Mini Minor Deluxe, it was a Mini-K (1098cc).
