Post subject: | Shipping, brissy to tas, box of mini bits |
Hey I tried the search engine first, so.. ok, i have a box of mini bits here, Length 90cm, Depth 55cm, Height 45cm. A quote from CWE was $371.70 depot to depot. Fastway wont touch it.. God dam, the reason I bought these bits was they were cheap, I dont want to have to sell them cause I cant get them home!!! Any ideas? Im still trying other places, please help me! thanks, josh |

What does the box weight? break parts up and send them through australia post unless were talking about subframes, steering racks...but even they can be broken down a little and put into a tube. |

I've sent and recieved things that size through the post before , weight will be the limiting factor though as jess has said . Failing that check with any Tasmanian furniture removalists and see when they are doing a load to Brisbane or further north , would be worth getting sent as a backload . |

yeah but the price was wayyyy to much. I guess I have learnt my lesson, buying things whilst interstate might be cheaper, until you need to get them home!!! I wish I was driving back, and I only have 5 kgs worth of space in my luggage for the plain. |

What about taking it as exess luggage, oz post have limits on the weight and girth of the packed items. I reakon exess luggage is the way to go. Make sure you ring the airline first as you dont want to get to the airport and find out they wont allow it. Just box it up well and you should be right. OR post the head and take boot and wheel with you. |

Try www.smartsend.com.au Usually quite cheap, and they do door to door. Based on the sizes and weights you listed, the online calculator says $108, Probably cheaper if you split it into 2 boxes Andrew |
