OK got around to measuruing the idler gear float - needs to be 0.003-0.006" mine is a tight 0.001" and the idler shims are 0.132" which is the thinest made. Any ideas - fat gasket? thick glue?

What colour is the gasket. Red ones were original, Karcraft still keeps em- same thickness. Many others are much thinner (and crappier material...) and it gives grief as you found. You can get a shim surface ground a few thou by a machine shop if all else fails. |

Gasket is pink. (from MS UK) It's 0.032" and crushes to 0.031" as per KC I have a dark grey one that is 0.030" before crushing so in line with KC in the MiniExpert it will also loose 0.001" Guess I'll look for a machine shop. |
