| Post subject: | Nuts and Bolts |
Hello Guys, New to here, currently restoring a '67 Delux. I ahve most partys but i am fidning it hard to find bolts, nuts, washers etc. Are you guys aware of anyone that sells a nuts and bolts kit i.e. a box of nuts and screws of types and sizes. Thanks PS: I am in Brisbane if that's important

Nth Sth East or West? Search Yellow Pages for Bolts and Nuts and you will find quite a few suppliers scattered all over. For a small quanity there is a bloke sells an assortment on eBay for about $35 delivered |

Jabba, give John a call at the Mini King (02 46481233), he sells kits of asorted nuts and bolts "new old stock" from the Leyland factory.....

When doing up Mokesta I went to a bolt place and bought UNC and UNF bolts in a wide range of lengths. I got bags of washers and nuts too. Mostly I got plated bolts but some were black. I think I just got about 10 of each size. Cost a couple of hundred 10 years ago. I ran out of many sizes and had to get more but I still have HEAPS of bolts. Not a very efficient way of going about it. If I were to do it again, I'd do a bit of a stocktake of the bolts I'd taken off the car and buy only those. Having said all that, there is nothing better than being able to use all new nuts, bolts and washers when putting a car together. These days, with Ajax fasteners having virtually gone, I would go to Coventry Fasteners. They have lots of stores. M |
