I am getting a cylic grinding noise from the lhs rear hub. I can see that the drum is contacting the backing plate - but I cant seem to able to adjust it out either by trying to recentre the hub or bashing the bejesus out of the backing plate so it clears. The bearings seem fine and the hub is running centred - or as far as I can tell. Any suggestions? |

the backing plate has two lips go around the edge of the drum. the outside one that you can see is where you are trying to lever it out. it might be the inside one that is rubbing. take the drum off and look for signs of contact. cheers michael |

done that - the drum is rubbing on one side of the the face of the backing plate - it is ocntacting on the front quarter of the backing plate. |
