According to Graham Russell, most of the new ones are rubbish, he says if you can find some old 850 ones grab em & use them. Doogie |

where can u get the push rods for the 998 /1100 engine I have seen plenty of 1275 pushrods avalible BBut no ones for the smaller engines. Is ther Any difference or can i use the 1275 Push rods. |

You can't use 1275 push rods in a small bore. The block is taller on a big bore (so needs longer push rods). They are not interchangeable. |

Push rods or cam followers?? If cam followers, you need to rebore the follower holes in the block.... no good! Minispares Isky Type C-AEG580 is what you want: http://www.minispares.com/Product.aspx?pid=33105 |

Well i dont Need any ATM but further down the track i might need some sepending how the condition of them are, Once the engine is getting pulled down for surgery Id say in about 2 months or longer we will bepreping for paint within the next month. Just taking my time making sure things are done nicely. i know when fitting a New cam you should always replace the Followere but im unsure about the push rods. |

No need to change pushrods, unless they are bent. Roll them on a flat machined surface to find out. |

Don't get your hopes up Mick- 850 ones were nothing special, they used to wear and chip just like all the others always did.. eventually. They were all just chill cast iron. I'd never use old s/h ones on a fresh cam. Now, OTOH if you DO have some NOS 1962 850 ones.. use em.
