Just saw this car on ebay and wondered if anyone knew anything about it.

http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Appendix-j-1964- ... dZViewItem

The price looks great to me as I have someone paying me for a car I'm building for them as soon as I get it finished and I have a bit of money saved up to buy something stupid. It looks tempting but my parents told me no more cars 2 minis ago.

Just a hunch but I don't think the seller is the guy who built it , look's like he's trying to remember the names he was told -

OK , now who here hasn't been told that at some stage by their parents or wife/husband/partner ?

I think "Russell Malure" should find himself an auto electrician to become friends with, don't like the sight of that engine bay!

I asked the seller about the car, here is part of his answer. It all sounds OK to me;

"G'day mate
it was raced before we brought it off Mark Whitehouse,than pulled it down and rebuilt everything.Yes it is Nb log book,engine has just been ran in on engine dyno at Russell Engineering.Graeme's personal head,scatered camshaft,crank has been heat treated,ARP bolts and nuts,Long inlet manifold with 45 DCOE,LCB Extractors.Original seats with race seat,no harness.Anymore info please just call..."

If you want to know more, I'd suggest you send hima message and have a chat.

Matt

Thanks for the info everyone, I think I will see how the auction goes and get in contact with the owner if I get serious about buying another mini.
