Post subject:  Dunlop wheels and Honda brakes

Word of warning to anyone thinking of using 10" Dunlops over 7.9" Hondas... they don't fit! :cry:
Well of Dunlop wheel is way too wide, Cosmics are probably in the same boat....!

Another problem with the 7.9" Hondas- (yeah I know, I started this Honda ball rolling) is the inner pad wears with a step in it because it overhangs inner edge of disc surface. I found this out when I swapped the Hondas off Barney yesterday.
I guess you could grind the pad to remove this overhang.. but it looks dodgy.
Soooo, if you gotta have Honda discs on a Mini, I recommend fit 12" wheels and run the discs at stock diameter- 9.1". :wink:

Phew......I am glad I coughed up the cash for the 12 in rims and 'ordered' my brakes to suit :wink: :D
