as posted on my orders thread i recieved bad news regarding the A008's.

the whole phone conversations is in that thread, but by the sounds of it production of the A008's has stopped and will no be redeveloped or a replacement done in anyway. 10" tyres for yokohama are gone. :( guess its up to dunlop to provide mini lovers with there "quality" tyres.

my order for them was be withheld incase of old stock being set over ill be the first to recieve them, however there is 32 tyres on back order so far.

DAM U docmini and gafmo, i should never had sold u my last set. hopefully when i speak to the dunlop rep soon we can arrange something.

Typical of Yokohama. Remember the A539, a great 12" tyre... so they dropped it, with no road tyre replacement (A048Rs don't count, or last long either).

What makes you think they knew Japan had ceased production? There's every likelyhood some desk jockey over there sold them a story too.

That happens a lot... you are dealing with middlemen.
not the actual supplier

well the middle man is the supplier for australia. he did say they werent made anymore more and my only guess is that if they were still overseas they would of sent them over or he would of said the last ones are taken by the 32 tyre orders we have backordered.

sorry, he may be the supplier for Australia, but he is not the manufacturer. it is the same as a middle man, there is always a higher source.
So you would think that a 32 tyre order would get preference

oh yeah there definately is, unfortunately theres no way to find out for sure unless u wanna pay the long distance call.

he told me they dont make them, so i said ok then he said about the 32 back orders and i was like ok he's serious then. cause if they still made them for the uk or usa wouldnt they just resource it from there?

It depends on the allocation they get.
i just searched and can't find any in Japan. maybe some old stock, but nothing readily available. only A032's, i was trying to bring these in for $500 a set but the Oz dollar killed that idea off. now i'm sitting on 11 sets that cost me more than they are worth.
