Talk to Watto about it as he's trying to hunt it down as well , he's not sure if the camper shown was the Young Lions corporate bus or the other one (there were two training unit buses , one of them became the young lions and the other is unkown ) . |

I have some good BMC PR dept shots of the bus. I also have some articles from the BMC Rosette. I'll scan them and send them to you Chop. |

Hi Jules. Could you add me to the list please? When (not if, I'm determined) I track down the mobile home one I will do a feature on them. I've been in contact with Trond already - in fact I sent him a heap of pics I already had - and we are finding all sorts of interesting info. I have already got the Rosette with the story on the mobile service units - Issue 1 - but I would love to get hold of any photos you have of them. By the way, I have worked out that the mobile home is the same bus that the Young Lions used. There were some 30+ of these units built, and two came to Aussie. They were chassis numbers 3 and 29 apparently, according to one of my sources. Cheers, Watto. |

The BMC Leyland Heritage Group tracked it down a few years ago and offered the fellow $XXXXX for it but as he is a wealthy individual he was not interested....he had it set up as a camper and it has been changed as a result with a new front and modified rear which would cost a lot to fix. It would be a shame if it did leave Australia. |

Hi there folks, Yes, I'm searching for all kind of info about those vehicles, serving the BMC's service staff early sixties. Found that there were 2 units in AU and six in North America. The total are about 30. Got some very helpfull info from Watto, I'm very pleased to have meet him. I would thank you all for your help, there will be a web site covering those units someday. Looking forward to get those photos that Julie says she will scan. Many thanks from Norway, you might take a look at my photoalbum at: http://www.flickr.com/photos/brimen/ Wish you all a MERRY CHRISTMAS AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR !!! ![]() |

Stating the obvious, but it has Victorian rego in that photo. Can anyone track it via the numberplate and a VicRoads enquiry? Obviously the heritage group already have presumably? KB |
