I was searching therogh the shed n found there......Forged rockers
The numbers I can find or read are.......2a22ab4 on the mount....2a584 a2nf Im not sure of these numbers they are worn on most of the rockers

How do these compare with stock mini types for ratio?
Are they as reliable as the Cooper S forged rockers as they are similar in construction (or not)?

Mick the adjusters are not as big dia as S ones.
Also the pillars are alloy, which collapses (see my 1.5 rocker sticky thread in Mods forum, last post).
Also again, the rounded front of the pillars will foul the springs on a 1275 head.

Best rockers are the pressed steel ones, all the others are rubbish really.

I figured they were most likely incompatible as most mods have been tried at least once..

It's strange that BMC would drop a supposedly superior forged construction (although pressed seem to work just fine) for the pressed type only to use it on the Cooper engines only then to move onto sintered construction later on.

I see how cost enters the equation, but they continued on the Morris minor for ten years before the minor was discontinued...and the minor was no perceived performance machine..

Most Morris Minor 1000s had the pressed steel ones, not those forged ones.

My ratio figures obtained from various rockers recently, with new RE13 cam and on a 1275 head:

Cooper S forged- 1.16:1

Sintered 1.18:1

Pressed steel (round pads, 850-1098) 1.21:1

Pressed steel 850- 1098 with my .044" offset bushes 1.31:1

Pressed steel (oval pad, 1275) with my .044" offset bushes- 1.35:1

The last two offset sets I supply to order, customer supplies the rockers.
The rocker posts have the shaft offset as well.
