I have tried but the damn thing wouldn't let go. I have unscrewed the screw at the bottom of the headlamp rim already.

Is there a trick? like push in and turn or some other means.

Also the beams coming from each headlamp(H4) are not quite in the same intensity/not quite even (looks like one is on high beam and one is on low beam), are these to do with the globes? or any adjustments could be made?

Thanks.

In regards to the headlight chrome ring it needs to be turned clock wise a little as it has a locating tab at the top that fits in through a cut out in the head light backing/mounting plate.

In regards to your lights when you hit the high beam switch do the lights change ....the brightest one dims and the dimmer one brightens? If so when your lights were converted to H4's they were wired up incorrectly. The one that dims when you hit the high beam switch on needs to be changed (im sure you knew this) just pull the head light out of the bucket and change the wires around. (it probably only need the 2 power/high and low beam wires changed around, cant remember the colour of the wires at the moment.) to check if you have got it around the right way flick the high beam switch.

Cheers Scott.

Undo the screw and then lift the rim up a touch. This will release the tab.
