Im giving my MK2 Cooper S heater a refurb, the plastic type heater, the actual heater body is looking a bit tired, anybody know of a wipe on product that may give a bit of life back to it? Doogie |

there are just plastic arnt they?? ( i recently found the clubman ones arnt so plastic but fibreglass) Try using autosol to polish it - it takes ages though. thats what used for my clock surround (clubby) - came up like new A wipe on thing though - maybe furniture polish, like mr sheen, something that leaves a slight residue making it shiny |

For a wipe on I would suggest ArmourAll but this is something that you will constantly have to keep up with to achieve a good level of finish. If it was me i would clean thoroughly, spray with a plastic primer then finish with a paint such as gloss vinyl ink. This is a product that screen printers used on vinyl. I have just painted a speedo binical that i picked up on ebay. You need to reach a gloss but not a high gloss. Test the level of gloss on the paint of your choice before proceeding. Another suggestion would be good old fashioned black shoe polish. Brian |
