OK I've tried Windex, AutoGlym windscreen polish, and wax & grease remover.
Nothing seems to get rid of the staining on this s/h screen, which appears to be on the outside.
I want some Bo Ami powder, anybody seen it recently?
I last used this stuff on windscreens 20 years ago.
But I can only find it on the web in USA now.

Or would Ajax powder do the same thing?

you can still find it in BiLos and independants.

The Ajax powder cleanser isnt as effect as it isnt as abrasive. Try the no-name powder cleansers

Whats Bon Ami look like? i got this powder from a friend at a glass cutting place, its a browny colour and when you mix it with water it goes to a mud like look, its great at cleaning windows, but i have no idea what its called.

What sort of stain is it?

nothing will get that smell out of Pamela Anderson

Doc, I ain't goin' near the Pamela Anderson comment but if it's stained have you tried eucalyptus oil? It gets rid of really weird shite.

Also, I am curious about you wanting Bon Ami; that's abrasive and if it does get rid of the stain

then the screen will need a polish. If you were in Melbourne I could lend you my Festo sander; it can polish scratches outta screens.

I would try a razor blade scraper and maybe some thinners.

My next step would be to see if your insurance company offers free windscreen replacement.

I have been tinting Windows the last couple of days and it does clean up the glass well. Will thinners affect the rubbers?

Regaring to Insurrance Im sure most request you to find your own and they will pay for it. Have you tried Autosole on a small spot on a old Window Dr

My advise is to take it out before it breaks. That way there will be less glass in the car.
