Picked it up with a couple of minis but it's got me stumped ![]() Why dose it have those pipes going in to the head, I assume it's into the water jacket. ![]() Small looking valves but I can only find numbers behind the thermo housing and under the rocker cover near cyl 4 bypass hose. ![]() anyone got any ideas and how to I tell what it's off ![]() |

Those pipes are part of the air injection system that was part of the emissions control on late clubmans ... 77 / 78 |

It is off A Mini that was originally fitted with pollution control equipment, You can put some Grub screws in these holes, This is NOT suitable for a 1275 |

So those pipes go into the air ports? is that the inlet or exhaust? |

They go into the exhaust ports. If you want to plug the holes in the head the thread is 7/16" UNF. Grubscrews this size are expensive in most places. A cheap way to do it is screw old seatbelt bolts in and cut them off flush. Or make them grubscrews, by cutting their threads to length and putting a slot in with a hacksaw. ![]() |
