Post subject:  Gladstone Mini owner - help needed please

hi there
I have a 1997 Rover Mini - automatic with SPi. I live in Gladstone, QLD and am having no luck trying to find someone to service her.
Does anyone know of a good mechanic in Central QLD and surrounds that can look after her? I am happy to travel as far south as Bundy but not as far as Brisbane.
Any help would be great.
thanks and happy new year.

There is a mechanic in Yapoon who I know did the engineering certificates on rental Mokes to make them officially 4 seaters, don't know if he can service your car or not but at least he should be familiar with the mark. I've got his name back in Brisbane and can look it up when I get back at the weekend i you like.

Out of interest this how I know he can engineer alterations to your car. I spoke to his wife about finding out some of the history of my Moke and she said it would all be in the record books in the attic  but when I rang back was told it would be too hard to find

Going by that VIN number, that's not an original Cooper S Wombat. :P  :D
