One of my fuel caps leak so do I just replace the cork gasket or the whole cap. If just the gasket how thick do they start out and is just plain gasket cork ? |

A rubber sheet impervious to fuel is better....try and get a thickness that will give you a good seal. |

Go to a boat parts place like Bias Boating or Whitworths, a neoprene rubber seal for a cruisetank is a perfect fit. ![]() Cork gaskets get torn up if there are any burrs at all on your filler neck. ![]() |

I tried all sorts of different seals, and eventually gave up and I now have a pair of cheapie brand ones that don't leak a bit - first time ever I can fill the tanks right to the neck without losing any! might have to check out a boat shop when I do my resto Kev ![]() |
