Hi guys I have an old roof lining here that I am going to use as a template to make a vinyl one to match everything else. What I want to know is could the original design be improved on at all or should I just copy the original ? thanks all |

If you are using the original support rods the best idea is to copy the original. From making sails which are flat i have found changing a pattern can be complicated. Go to Bunnings and buy 'flashtack' and stick it against the underside of the roof before you re trim, its an excellent sound deadener. |

well it fitted. I still have to make covers for the B and C pillars and trim the excess off. It cost me $50 for an old one to copy and $16.50 for vinyl. Its out in the sun now getting all hot and stretchy. I will go out later and give it another good rub and a stretch hear and there. I think the roof lining is on parr with the build quality of the rest of the car. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

You made a tough job look pretty easy, I reckon I will need to man up and do mine.... It's hanging up in the mini, but I'm more than a little scared of wrinkles I couldn't get rid of last time. These are the inverted 'V' shaped ones you get as you pull down either side of the support rods. How did you avoid these? |
