Post subject:  Moke Front Bump stops

I'm finally getting on with replacing a few bits on the Moke and have noticed that my original front suspension bump stops (the ones that bolt onto the subframe with 2 bolts, above the top arms) are bigger (Taller) than the Mini ones I have bought to replace them.
Does anyone know if the bigger ones are still available? (I have e-mailed numerous Mini specialists in Oz but no replies as yet).
Or will fitting the smaller items cause problems?
Thanks,
Dean

Yes Mokes did have taller bump stops. Even though some experts say they did not and the shorter Mini ones have the same part number etc. They are available as another member here with the nick "Rover" bought some not so long ago. Try sending him the question. I the meantime I will ask him for you when I see him..

I do Hope I was not one of the people you sent an email to and did not get a reply. If that is the case I am sorry, I do have some problems with my emails some times, some are treated as spam when they should not be,
Anyhow, at present to do not have the larger moke bump stops, Part Number AYK4204 The normal Mini part number For Aust Built cars Is 2A4332, Some Mokes did use the 2A4332 But they had a square metal section welded to the top control arm

Thanks for the info,
John, is this an item that you are likely get in stock in the future?
Tony, there isn't a user called "Rover" on Ausmini, can you ask him where he got the stops from please?
Thanks,
Dean

I think I've seen some of those arms - an adapter could be made if one was desperate and not after originality, correct?

I'm thinking a plate to go on top of the top control arm, bent over at each end with a hole that the damper bolt goes through, and a piece of 10mm plate welded to it

basically all that is required is limiting the travel of the top arm so the 13" wheel doesn't hit where it's not supposed to.... ?
