Post subject: | Engineers Report for Mini 1.0 Litre |
Dear fellows, Good to see there are so many other Mini Lovers here in AUS. Well I imported a 1.0 Litre 1987 model Mini from Japan recently. But the problem is that the Engineers (MoSt of them here in Victoria) didn't write a report for them with 1.0 Litre Engine. Now one of these Engineers told me that they can't live without fools like me... ![]() ![]() Its been over a month guyz I'm stuck .... everyday I look at my baby and I go crazy cuz I can't drive it... its lovely, goovy baby... so come on guyz and sweat galZ... help me please. Thanks for all help, Regards, Vick |

its my understanding that if the car imported is older than 1989 it dosnt matter what engine it has in it, it just needs intrusion bars, seat belts, fuel neck restrictor and child restraints. check out this post in fast fours, this guy is an importer so maybe ask him. http://forums.fastfours.com.au/viewtopic.php?t=77457 |

No need to find me on Fast Fours, I am here as well. Is yours an auto? From what I've been told I am having absolute shits trying to engineer it in NSW as it's an auto (ADR did specify auto gearbox must have 'P' gear and these auto's doesn't) but funny enough it's fine in Victoria or Queensland, just not NSW. Why would he need to compare the engine with other similar 1L cars? All he need to do is compile a 0-4-5 report saying it meets/complies with ADR standard. One of my clients have used this company - www.sricar.com - they're expensive but they can get the job done without fuss. |
