I was trying to save a Morris 1100S in Bargo that was on ebay but someone outbid me, probably someone wanting to strip the valuable car for the useless 1275 engine to get a rusty Mini back on the road.

If it was someone from here can they please contact me, I may want some bits...

Here is the Ebay link so you can see what a valuable asset I missed out on.. http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190278321334&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=009

It don't look too bad, the S badge is still OK... 8)
My $100 Morrie 1300 auto looked worse but we sorted the rust and got 4 or 5 happy years out of it. Then sold for $350.. :D

I actually want the speedo for the metric conversion sticker.

Actually I wanted a lot of bits, especially the 1275, the hydro bags, some panels, the VH44, the radiator, the radio, the two beautiful hubcaps, etc...

Look at his username, he's a scrap guy, probably got it for nix out of a paddock, tidy little pick up for him.

Hay, it's not about the car, it's not about the venue, it's about the people that come here. Peter Dwyer, Mayor of Hay NSW.

It might be worth emailing the seller and ask him to get the winning bidder to contact you.
