Hey Guy's, just a quick thankyou to all the Tassie MiniNuts Louise and i met whilst touring the Great Isle, especially James and Mel :D Anyone planing to go to tassie with there mini should do so as we've just come back from 2 weeks of friendlyness and fun. We did most of the isle, except the east coast, and found that the 2 weeks we had set aside was still not enough. The roads are brilliant fun  , even in a mini loaded to the hilt with luggage, and the scenery spectacular. The locals are friendly and always up for a chat, basically we just had a really good time. Hopefully we will catch you guy's at Minishow this year. Cheers Ben and louise.

Drive through Queenstown and count how many turns it takes to drive down and up out of the town.

Also if you are around that part of Tassie take the Gordon River Cruise and enjoy it!

Try and do as much as you can, and leave yourself plenty of time. The road out of queenstown is great if you like back to back corners, but i found the road just out of queenstown the most demanding( through part of a state forest) and i have to admit that after about 3/4 of an hour i was really looking forward to a straight :D. The stretch i really enjoyed the most was a little stretch of road off the bass highway, on our way to Stanley, called Tollymore Road. The road takes you to Table Cape lighthouse and a tulip farm, but it also runs between poppy fields and is quite narrow in places. This just also happened to be a day when i didnt have any luggage on board and i could chuck the brick around a bit . Also the run over cradle mountain , heading to queenstown, is also fantastic. Must do's: Port Arthur, The ABT Railway trip from Queenstown to Strahan, Stanley and the Nut, Tazmazia near Lake Barrington, Salamanca market in Hobart( only open on a Saturday), drive down to dover in the south( another good stretch of road :) ) and anything else ive forgotten :) Just do it :!:

I must have had half a dozen or so mates tell me that they had seen your car about the place. They all said it is a good looking thing, its a pity I didnt spot it myself. Good to hear you had a good time on our roads, but you missed out on some of the best roads by not doing the east coast. I guess they will still be here next time though.
