Are the classic and the vintage the ones to suit old minis?
Ie: vintage being a classic with headrest?

Yes they are.

Dr mini and I both haven them in our car. Took my mum for a drive the otherday and she commented on how comfy they were compared to the old ones.

O.K....
Where did you get the seat base from, or can the original frame be modified?

I'm soon going to weld a bit of 25mm SHS tube across the rear feet so it sits flat on the floor- the stock feet are like stiletto heels.

The frames i bought are not cobra ones, they are the mini sport custom made ones http://www.minisport.com/acatalog/info_COBSUBFR03L.html

They are not the same as docs, as the back is made from plate and runs across the floor, very solid indeed.
