could someone tell me whether the camira conversion is difficult in comparison to the 8.4 disk brakes. and has anyone done this job that can give me some pointers and do i have to get it engineered. thanks guys |

You also have to obtain an engineering cert for the camira conversion, where you dont have to with 8.4's. |

Have a look through Brad's thread here , http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... ight=honda , they are a honda brake , not the camira ones but the whole process is virtually the same . As the others have said yes you'll have to get them engineered and it's best to talk to your engineer before starting as some like them , some don't and it'd be a shame to make the brackets only to turn around and have to remake them thicker or something . 8.4's will bolt straight up without any inspection or engineering needed and by the time you have Camira or Honda brakes certified it's probably not much cheaper than getting new 8.4's . Depends if you need bigger disc brakes or just disc brakes . |

You see a few brake conversions on ebay and at swap meets. My logic is if they're selling them then somebody hadn't investigated the rules before building them. |
