I have grp 5's and I also have 13x7. The rears sit in ok with no spacer on the drums, but the fronts poke out about 10mm. I have got adjustable lower arms so I reakon I will just crank the camber to get them inside on the fronts.. as I have to go for an engine no. check and they will defect me if there is something really obvious.

make sure your wheels are definitely sitting over the stupid lugs on the metro flanges.

when i first bolted mine on it looked like my wheels were on, but at closer inspection they were sitting out on the lugs.

i had to have the lugs machined off the hubs so the wheels would sit down flat on the flanges.

once done they sat in 10mm closer, tyres still hang out of my cooper s flares with 6 inch rims, but getting away with it so far, rounded edge yoko DNA's help too!

good luck, great brakes.

Hi.
I restored my set months ago and had forgoten how much they stick out compard to normal mini discs untill i put them back on again..

gezzzz they look sexy under there.....love my brakes...

anyway i got flares from usa based mini mainia...
bourght three different sets as i was unsure if they would fit or i would like them on the car ..
Im pritty sure they were a widened version of the group 5 arch...and they screwed onto the panel from the front not the back .
i did have to cut lots of metal away as i wanted the car low...and with such a windened wheel section i had no choice as it hit all the time.
they looked like this.
Image
I later got spacer drums fitted to the rear to make it all in line with the front..
this mini will have 13x7 on the rear and ill keep my 13x6 for the front..as even with the spacer drums if didnt come out enough to match the front..
at present ive got nothing as the car is still being restored...but the wheels stick out lots .
Image
will add....great brakes...i love them...they look great stop great......sometimes stop too good....mine were always a bit touchy in the wet....so i had to be carefull.

First off machine the lugs off the flanges/hubs that bolt onto the disc.

Interestingly I was talking about this same issue with a friend who's helping me with a project of mine today. He suggested bolting on 8.4 disc brake flanges/hubs, which is probably what I'm going to do if they stick out much more than the rear.

I think thats the reason mine a boarder line (well less wrong).

So my pic would be an example of this mod?

Wonder if you could machine the face of the drive flange a bit?
