Hi guys, My mini is doing an occastional miss. when I floor the throttle to the ground it sometimes misses. If i take my foot off the accellerator then reaply it, it will be fine! Any ideas? |

try checking a few of the following, i had a similar problem have you got enough dashpot oil in your su(if running su/s)? if you dont have enoguh dashpot oil the mixture leans as soon as you flaten your foot making a flat spot or miss in some cases. what is the condition of your condensor and points? its extremly inportant to replace the condensor everytime you replace the points, i have seem then die before creating a miss or in extreme cases completly stop the motor running. are your spark plugs carboned up? regards matt |

Check your plug gaps are not too wide. Should be .025" for stock ignition, but if running electronic you can open them up a bit. I set them to .032" with a Pulsar dizzy. Watch it if buying blister packs of plugs, often they are gapped at 1.1mm for modern engines. You need to reset them. |
