I bought my first mini today, meet Tarquin ( any mini that is burgundy with a gold roof is surely a little gender-confused)

Tarquin will be off the ride for a while for an engine rebuild and a respray to be reborn as Al, in the meantime if anyone knows where I can get a clutch and a brake fluid reservoir...

I support Newcastle United, so I was playing with the idea of white shell, black doors bonnet and boot and the newcastle badge on the doors. Black stripes could also happen down the quarter panels.

Then again I could change my mind and do something completely different. If anyone has an idea they think is better I am happy to listen!

You could do that, or you could do something good. :D
Seriously, I wouldn't do that. Car might be more likely to be vandalised or
you come out one day and go "Crap, what was I thinking?"

What ever I do will be something fun, even if it's a single colour, it's a mini not a ferrari after all

Hey! Whats wrong with Ferrari red Minis???

:) Great to see you got your Mini Ben, you gettng the motor rebuilt locally? Would love to know who you use for whatever you get done, especially if they do it well ;)

Is it a 1275LS (thats had the bottom half resprayed coz they couldnt match it to the top)?

No definately not 1275, it's 1098. Will be off the road for a few months while it gets a proper birthday before registering, he won't even arrive from Perth for a month or so (delivery to Bunbury was part of the price) .

At the moment I am really playing with the idea of colours in my head, there was a post in the last week, of a lilac coloured mini that looked good but I will change my mind another half dozen times yet. He had a perfect dashboard though, I thought that was worth having. Definately powdercoating the rims though, if anyone knows what I should pay for that please post.

Paid $100 to do all 5 at Safetech Powdercoating in Rockingham,
but I had already sandblasted them.
