my brother and i pulled my engine down and could someone tell me what the name of this bearing is called as it needs replacing....first picture ia where it is located and second is the bearing

you'll need to remove the outer race from the housing - put a bolt through a large washer and weld it in place, weld the washer to the outer race, then put something big over the top, and screw a nut onto the bolt to pull it out

if you know what I mean...

two big screw drivers to lever it up a little, then a bearing puller to take it the rest of the way. Simple. :wink:

:idea: first pull out the circlip that holds the outter bearing race in or you will be there for a while :!: :lol: 8)

As morris said but ut may take more than on drop or hit on the ground.

The outer bearing cone can also be removed easily by running a weld on the inner face with an arc welder which causes it to shrink and it will fallout easy.

I am amazed with the forum lately , 6 months ago the same question would have returned a dozen posts saying "it's called rooted" or similar . Well done to everyone who's given good , clear advice .
