Here is the history; The car was bought new in La Cal. In 1962 and stored from 1965 till 1998? Then taken to Redding Ca. I bought it in 2008. The clock has 29k miles on it and the shell is 100% rust free. I have the original 850 and a few spare’s including a 1275A+ with tranny. As soon as all the body and mechanicals are done I will go through the 850. As far as down under humor as long as I can figure the meanings of the funny words you use Ill be fine!!!!!!!!!

Terrific job on the Austin 850 there d-m....keep us up to date on developments!

You also reminded me of one of the coldest trips I have ever taken.....mid December 1987 I took off from around Vallejo and got up as high as Shasta Lake or so...I left in some light clothing and suffered for it everytime I got out of the car...great county and scenery up there though and well worth the suffering :D

yes it has been an easy project so far we paid for the clean shell and the car came with new interor all the suspension parts done and power coated new wheels and tires .All I really need is a windscreen and some odd pices here and there. would like to up grade the brakes and find a set of mini lights but it's not at the top of the list. :D
