Seems like a nice project to get stuck into. I like the seats, I saw them a few months ago at the owners shop. :D
Wasn't 63 the swap over year from sliding windows to winding?
The car could still be original with whats there, not to mention how tricky it is to obtain a good set of sliders.

No , 850's had sliding window doors all the way through production (1965 I think) , the morris mini minor (YMA2S3) came out with an 850 engine and then 998 with windups somewhere in there as well .

:D YAY, another mini is being resurected, top stuff.
Anyone who tidies up a mini deserves a nobel prize in my books.
I like the seat, just needs blue piping to suit my car....

Hi Vicki
I hope you still like it when you see it. It's very dusty inside[ i told Neil I can water blast it] I can check for some sliding window doors for you . I know of quite a few that are not too bad, i am getting some for my '60 shell.
As for confusion of model it's serial no is
YMSA1
original eng no 8AM/U/H
It has the welded type suspension cones and single leading shoes in front.
I think that the welded cones were replaced mid 1963. Others will be able to correct me there.
The wiper date is 1/65 and my guess is the the doors/boot lid /wiper were off another car probably a 65 deluxe.
If this car turns out like neil's cooper then it's going to be a head turner. I am glad it's going to a good home as it was destined for the metal crusher when I found it.
