Post subject:  Fuse box options
who has replaced a fuse box with a aftermarket fuse box like a 10 slot giving more options for easy wiring instalations. any pictures and where did they get it from and how easy was it to sort out? is it a good idea to fit a Lager 10way fuse box for glitch problem solving?

i used 2 x narva brand fuse boxes.. only problem is that there is no "common" feed into the fuses.. so I had to solder in some beefy connectors in the back of it to make one side common 12V coming from the regulator.

they are cheap, and even cheaper if you buy the non-narva branded ones from SuperCheap (exact same unit).

In my previous min I had a later model car fuse box installed, which was a better option as it had relay mounts on it too. I looked around pick-a-part for hours looking for a suitable one again this time but couldnt find one :(

Post subject:  EZ2Wire Fuse Box
Hi,
I am currently up to looking at options for fusebox/electrical system for my resto, and have decided to use an E12 EZ2Wire system.

I don't know anyone that has used one in a mini but a couple have used them in hotrods and swear by them.

Have a look on ebay mate, there is always aftermarket/upgrade fuse box options on there, or even second hand ones from different vehicles.

Quick search brought these 6 way boxes up.... clicky

I have used the Narva 8 X blade fuse box in a moke. Quite easy to do and is reasonably neat, the only down side is that there is no common input. The current project will also have blade fuses installed but from a different source as these do have a common input. These are available from a Melbourne company called SWE-Check and their product catalogue can be viewed on line at http://www.swecheck.com.au/ . They are also reasonably priced.
