.Absolutely, my first Mini was a '62 850 and it went clunk.. in contrast, my '78 van goes clang.. and my '70 K somewhere in between

On my '64 850 (now restored as Redmond, in TME magazine) the floor panel was 1.6mm, I measure it when I cut the rust out. However, the tinny UK made replacement front floor pans were only 1.0mm. No wonder UK cars rust...

.This would be true, IF the late ones had any power. But they have no more than a 1275LS, really. Long live the Cooper S & Clubman GT.
