20 years ago today I got my first mini and have always owned one ever since , never being without at least one mini . Does that make it my true love ?

On another note , tomorrow , 46 years ago mrs Martha Webb of Balgowlah bought a saxon green sports850 , looked after it very well and kept all it's books . I am really glad she did on both counts . Will have to have a drink for her tomorrow night :D

Good effort Ian, probably best not to point that out to the wife before giving her flowers/chocolate etc!

They probably said the relationship would never last, and here you are both 20 years later! Happy Valentines day to both you and your mini

Unfortunately I no longer have the original mini , a 76 base model Leyland , it commited hari kiri while I was working in Goulburn in 1991 (jumped out of gear and rolled into a gully wrapping itself around a tree    ) but I bought the sports850 a week later (had another mini at home at the time though ...) so it didn't die in vain . Wouldn't have been looking for another mini for transport if it hadn't been written off .

I was only 8 back then and playing toy cars... Had a mini toy car that time (still here) without realising I would actually own a real one now.
