My mini has twin 1/1/4 su carbs. The engine is slow to respond at idle but goes alright once the vehicle revs increase. The carbs also seems to stick a bit when taking the foot of the accelerator.
Any easy fixes.

Check your linkages and especially accelerator cable. Might be some time for some grease and/or a replacement cable.

Otherwise it needs a tune up. This will find any problems as well as get it going properly.
