I ve run twin 1&3/4 carbs on my big bore donks for years, love em I would just shove some OA6 needles & a pair of red springs in there for starters & go from there it all depends on so many other variables as to what you may end up with on your particular engine,,, but the OA6s & reds will get you going without a hic-up & will be all wonderful to start with |

I use 13/4 SU's on my 1360 which is in a fairly high state of tune. I really couldn't recomend them on a stocker or even a mild motor though. Red springs and KW needles work for me. As matt says OA6 is a great starting point! Dave |

each piston in the engine only sees one carb anyway,,, so a stock 1275 running around on a single 1&3/4 is quite fine,,, then twins is just the same only with less manifold restriction ![]() |

twin 1.5 Su with a re13 cam Needles would be Ta in advance #6 worked for me in Barney, 1293cc, twin HS4s, cam was a Wade 104 with 1.5 rockers (so similar lift and timing to an RE13 and stock rockers). |

Did the same-but also got it set up on a dyno. Also just as important is your inlet manifold and filter set-up. I'm running with K&N Filters now with Maniflow manifold setup for 1 3/4. ![]() |
