Genuine utes are rare out here, so it's hard to justify that it is worth less. Personally I'd want a bigger engine and discs for that money, but that can be done later. It looks in good condition, if he's happy with the price thats all that matters. If he's not, why did he bid that much? |

has southafrican small bore, which he said he put 1275 crank etc in which is possible because s/afro blocks different (more of a short stroke 1275). So yeah would call it a 1275cc |

Yes , south african 1100 which was basically an 1100s motor with a short stroke crank . heyw ere unique in that you can't fit an oil cooler as there is no external oil line . the oil filter screws directly to the block as you can see in the photo . |

Definitely worth the price. You wont see many original utes in Oz. Try importing one and watch the costs stack up! The foundations are there for a great car. Well done! |

You can fit an oil cooler (not that you would need one!) you need an adaptor that goes under the filter. Lots of cars run these.

The way i see it is someone else was willing to pay allmost as much as you.. So maybe you paid a maximum of $100 over market price?? if you get me... Looks tidy i was watching that item.. Same late model motor as the 1300 marina in regards to the block. |

I think you have paid a fair price. I have a 1967 pick up under construction, purchase price + body work + paint job has cost me $13,000 still a long way to go before its finished. I estimate the total cost may be about $20,000 to $24,000. |

![]() Neither can I, the plastic faux checkerplate is so much better! Especially after it's been in a hot car on a hot day. But to answer the question, I think it's fair. Look at the price in England and factor in the exchange rate and it's about right. About $12 grand plus shipping and customs etc. It's all about supply and demand. |
