The rear subframe (1963 model) is isolated from the body by rubber bushes.

The front subframe isn't - later models do have some isolation but also a different tower attatchment.

can you or is it possible to adapt later bushes to an earliy subframe or is it completely different ? Or dosen't it matter anyway?

I would not change the way it was originaly, one of the problems that the uk model cars that have the rubber mounts is they wear the mounts out and it is just another job you may have to do in the future

If you want the handling to suffer and it to steer like a boat, go right ahead and rubber mount the front one...
No wonder there is a market in UK for solid mount kits... 8)

To answer your question the subframes are different shape where the mounts are and the towers are different too.
