With a pushrod A series, 80 ATW just costs $$$$, but if you did get 100 real HP ATW it wouldn't be street drivable, IMO. Easiest way- get a turbo or huffer on it... ![]() |

100hp atw is quite hard to achieve for a non forced induction engine. Dr Mini on here has one of the most powerful non race motors with around the 87whp mark - getting above that is where you need either enormous capacity (huge bores and very long stroke) or an out-and-out race motor. That's assuming you're using an A series head, you *may* achieve 100whp with the use of a motorbike head, but please refer to other threads as the benefits of these heads are the subject of debate I believe Greig Malure has the quickest A series in the country with 165fwhp (?) - it's worth a LOT of money |

My engine produces 136hp at the flywheel, which is roughly 95hp at the wheels (depending on what day ![]() It is a stroker, produces bags of great fun torque, and is streetable... if you are keen! |

![]() It is a stroker, produces bags of great fun torque, and is streetable... if you are keen! Yeah you have the same 282 cam as in mine (a tame race cam GR says, it's now NLA)- to get much more at the treads you are looking at an out and out race motor with nothing under 4500, and a cam life measured in hours, not thousands of Km. ![]() |

Pete hahaha thanks pete.... good to see you is still hanging around... gotta agree with all of the others on here... making 100+hp atw is a fair call... but it means ALOT of machining, balancing, boring etc etc.... mildly work your 1275 and throw a hairdryer on there easy 100hp. |
