When i had to collect the clubman i hired a car trailer with ramps(Wish i had got a tilt bed now!) Car kinda bottomed out as going on to trailer(ouch) at the time though it just caught the sills... But today whilst doing the brakes i noticed this!!! Doh......

Either use longer ramps or lower the rear of trailer. Iam cut a bit out and reweld a bit in but lower

We were prob. drunk when we set it up last and thought this will be a good idea

Try and park the trailer in a dip so the ramps are nearly level with the trailer.

everyone learns to live with wear and tear, but all out destruction has got to hurt. I feel for you.
Think of it this way next weeks job on the Mini is now locked in.

I know all about this!

Morris 1100s suggesting is a good one, parking such that the ramps and trailer are more level works.

My dad and I have our own tricks. First off we press the suspension lifting button, but of course not all cars have this feature. The we resort to jacking the tow point on the 4WD. The higher the rear of the tow car, the more level the trailer and ramps will be (on a flat surface).

I once even resorted to taking my exhaust off to get the car on. But usually a little bit of jacking does the trick, a little bit goes along way. I'm sure most Mini owners will have been through this. Simply, Minis are too low to get up an average trailer ramp.

Me neither, I've always checked to see if it clears first and taken it easy instead of damaging the underside of my car. Also I've always had something unimportant lower down so that would hit first, like an exhaust clamp.

My last mini trailer move left an exhaust on the ground.....

I spent a lot of time loading race cars onto trailers. You soon learn how not to load or unload a car.

Ah well, I'm sure you'll remember for next time now

Same here but I built mine with minis in mind.
You'd be hard pressed to find an average car trailer that allows a mini to be easily loaded.
