Can't remember what Honda discs Hanra used for his (and haven't got time to search through it all) but the whole conversion is worth a read

try the forum's search function as well , there's a lot of info on them .

I'm in the middle of doing one, but I sourced Disks from Canada, Vented already turned down and drilled. I'll need to use 83-84 Prelude callipers for the Vented Disks.

Usually people use 84 Civic non-vented disks and callipers. If running 10" wheels the disks need to be turned down to a smaller diameter. Cant remember the size of the top of my head but can measure them for you. The adapter plates are fairly simple to make and as far as I know the same for both types of rotor, but bolt spacing is different if using full size of smaller diameter rotors. I can scan and send you the template for running under 10" wheels if required.

Another option, and if I had my way again would go this way, is David Rosenthal's (he's on here, david rosenthal is his username) Suzuki Disk conversion. Check it out at http://www.minisprintgt.com/discbrakes.html

Hope this helps, let me know via PM if you want me to send you details.

EDIT - Of course to run these legally on the road they will need to be approved by a Registry endorsed Engineer.

Cheers,

Dicko

I've done a few sets of these over the years.
If fitting them to 10" wheels, machine the rotors to 7.9" dia.
Beware, they will not fit inside all 10" wheels. Steelies are out, so are `LS offset' Contessas.
They fit OK in Jellybeans, `Mini offset' Contessas, and Hotwires.

I don't recommend putting them in 10" wheels now, as grinding is needed here and there on the pad brackets and calipers, and I reckon an engineer would take a dim view.
But they do fit into many 12" and most 13" wheels with original 9.1" sized rotors, & no caliper mods.
My 79 Moke will be getting a set.
