Post subject:  Brake Pedal Number

Hi, Haven't been on here for a while but now I'm back into my resto ( '66 ex Auto). Whilst sandblasting a few items I have found a serial number on one of the pedals ( brake I think), does anyone know if these numbers have any significance?
Regards
Brian

it'd just be a part number - 22G something?

Your 'ex matic' would of had the thicker "S" brake pedal fitted.
part no.21A1065 i think.

Thanks,
Yes I think it is something like that, so just a part number.( Iwas just curios) The car was actually converted to manual before I got to it.
Thanks for your help

you should put some pics up in Members Gallery of your resto. We would all love to see the progress as it happens!

I thought they didn't sit as high up as an S pedal, is this true?

I think someone has just used a complete manual pedal box with manual pedals as I'm sure they're both the same size.(will check)
Will put some pics up, but at the major MIG stage at present. It needs NS front guard, front apron, partial rear boot and beaver panel but I couldn't let another one get scrapped. (I have been responsible for a couple in my younger days.)
Thanks again
Brian

Yeah this is true, but running with no booster the lower height is better, IMO.
