you can buy them from revolution racegear... there are seat subframes available that will fit most aftermarket seats into minis...

thanks man....

yeah if you want some seats black low back classic cobra's i'm your man.... (though they are kinda growing on me)

the only problem I find with the ones revolution sell is that they sit the actual seat higher then my old ones > my head now sometimes hits the roof where it didnt before....

Hey Tom - did you swap the low back Cobras for a set of high back sports seats..??!!! Were you selling the brackets with the Cobras? I forgot to ask.

You got pics..? I would have thought that the bottom of the seats would have been lower than the originals.

 I guess thats the benefit of being a shortarse like me. Dont matter how high the seat is, I aint gonna hit my head..!! ha ha

My rails are somewhat illegal, but they work.

Its simply 2 lengths of 20x20x2mm angle iron running from the front to the back of the seat, and a rear leg on each. Nothing else.

The fronts of the angle iron bolt thru the original crossmember seat brackets, the door side bracket uses the original mounting point on the crssmember, the tunnel side is 50mm closer to the tunnel.

There is no adjustment - the drivers was made to suit my height, and the passengers is just a mirror image.

I tried to use adjustable runners, but the seat sat too high for my liking, and the runners were too heavy.

I made my frame from 25 & 30mm RHS tube. It bolts into the Mini seat brackets so I still have 3 positions, and I drilled 2 sets of holes in mount plates so I have 2 tilt angles.
Rear is not bolted down- frame has an RHS tube that sits across the floor, so I can still adjust it.
Here's a pic... no, it's not engineered...
