hey all got a really dumb question, which way does water flow in the readiator does it flow up the radiator or down it ????? i got told from tafe it flows up it the radiator is this true ?????? |

Top to bottom in all cars. It goes with natural convection - engine makes water hot, water goes up, radiator makes water cold, water goes down. Thats why vintage car rads are so tall. |

Most (or many) newer cars us crossflow raditors, the tanks are on the sides. They rely on the pump more for circulation. There is a slight mounting angle there usually but it's hardly `top to bottom.' ![]() |

![]() Fair enough, they are cross flow, but still the top hose goes to the top and the bottom hose comes from lower on the other side. |
